The theatre of the Cultural Centre of Adra can seat 930 people. It has got the latest technology in lighting and sound. This, in combination with its huge capacity, makes it the fourth most important auditorium in the province of Almería.
The Cultural Centre has also four spacious halls where courses and workshops can be organized, together with two big exhibition rooms to serve different cultural purposes.
The Town Hall of Adra publishes a quarterly activity guide with the plays, films, exhibitions, conferences, seminaries, courses and other cultural events taking place.
In the same way, new tendencies in art, scene, music, creation, etc have the support of the town to get closer to the public.

In 2005 Adra was host of the XV Mediterranean Games. Since then, and to commemorate this event, there are cultural activities each summer. In July 2006 an ambitious puppet Festival called “DEHILOS” acquired international projection when it included companies from Argentina, Uruguay Cuba or France. Apart from the plays which took place in el Pago del Lugar, there were eight workshops carried out in the Cultural Centre, where attendants could learn about techniques, puppet making, masks, etc.
There is also a big exhibition hall in Adra, which was part of the old Lead Foundry:

| Historical Archives |

Here documents of historical importance are kept, the most outstanding example is the “Carta de Privilegios”, granted to the village of Adra in 1505 by the queen Doña Juana I of Castille. It consists of a set of fiscal measures which were aimed to increase the population in the area.

Visitors can enjoy their free time in the three exhibition halls of the museum, which show the cultural legacy of the Phoenician, Punic and Roman civilizations, and which educate and entertain at the same time. Besides, important exhibitions of national prestige are periodically held here with success.
The museum has a shop where archaeological reproductions can be bought.El Molino del Lugar, built around 1814 and recently renovated, is the site of the ethnographic section of the museum.

Adventure or sports tourism is starting to develop in Adra, and quite especially water sports. The Real Club Naútico (Royal Nautical Club) offers a wide variety of courses like sailing for beginners, sport fishing, boat races, underwater activities, etc.
