Food and Drink

Both the agricultural and fishing traditions can be found in the typical food of Adra. Fresh fish and seafood, together with a great variety of vegetables, are the main ingredients of the local cuisine, and as a consequence we can find excellent dishes:

OLLA FRESCA
With salted fresh lard, black pudding, backbone, meat, potatoes, chickpeas and fennels.  Typical at the end of the “matanzas” ( slaughtering of pigs) and  the rest of the year.

FIDEOS APARTE
Quite popular amongst fishermen, it has a careful preparation: put different kinds of fish in a pot and make a soup. In a pan, we make a fried onion and tomato sauce and we add the noodles and, later, the fish soup. Then leave to rest until the soup disappears.
